After recent vandalism to Loretto recreational facility local authorities will be patrolling the area, and urge anyone with information regarding the destruction to come forward.

The City of Loretto, Tennessee released the following statement on Sunday regarding recent vandalism:

"The City of Loretto strives to provide excellent recreational facilities for our residents and the residents of our surrounding communities. However, we have found some recent vandalism and destruction of our property that has caused us some concern. It is impossible to make improvements in areas that need them for our residents to enjoy when we must replace and/or repair areas that are defaced or damaged by the careless acts of a few. 

These careless acts could also result in a felony conviction for those responsible which could carry up to 6 years in prison and up to $3,000 in fines. If you have any information regarding these acts of vandalism please contact us. 

Please note that the Loretto Police Department will be watching so those responsible can be held accountable while the rest of us can enjoy our City’s amenities."
