Clothes Our Kids Lawrence County received a Community Grant from Walmart that bought 66 pairs of shoes along with 188 donated by Outlook.

 

Clothes Our Kids of Lawrence County shared the following heartfelt story:

I’m usually a saver and spend money only when we need a specific item, but this time I decided to invest that money in new shoes for upcoming back to school referrals.

I found a good sale at the Outlook and ended up buying 66 pairs of tennis shoes. While I was in the store I was asked what I was buying them for and was able to tell them about our mission.

I was contacted the next day by Jeff Harwell, the owner of the Outlook, and he made a donation of 188 pairs of Vans shoes for our kids!! If I hadn’t gone in to buy those shoes, or told them about Clothe Our Kids it would have been different.

We have had so much fun giving these shoes out! I hope it has brightened someone’s day to receive them.
