On Tuesday during a conference Big Ten made the decision to cancel it's fall sports season which includes football.

Following weekend meetings by conference Commissioners a decision was announced on Tuesday with Commissoner Kevin Warren announcing that Big Ten with be canceling fall football, and eye a potential spring season due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

There are now 41 FBS programs that will not play in the fall in 2020. 

“Our primary responsibility is to make the best possible decisions in the interest of our students, faculty and staff,” said Morton Schapiro, Chair of the Big Ten Council of Presidents/Chancellors and Northwestern University President in a statement.
