Lawrence County City Council celebrates teams success.

The Lawrence County 10-year-old Cal Ripken All Stars show off their championship rings as they celebrate with their coaches and the Lawrenceburg City Council celebrating achievements of a local baseball team in its final meeting of July.

The Cal Ripken 10-year-old All Stars were honored by the city council for their domination to tournament champions. The team’s accolades include outscoring their opponents by a total of 66-14, batting a combined .457 with 59 hits and pitchers throwing a total of 36 strikeouts.

The team members are: Archer McDonald, Cooper Newton, Fletcher Weigart, Jack Oldham, Kanaan Gardner, Knox Helton, Madden Johns, Neyland Dishongh, Paxten Livingston, Roman Kolesar, Will Loyd and Wyatt Moore. Coaches are Robert Newton, Charles Loyd, Ryan Johns and Russ Moore.

Celebrating the team was perfect for the July 24 meeting, as Parks and Recreation Director Pam Hyde also gave the city council an update on projects around the city’s parks.
