Authorities in Lawrence County are investigating the theft of a horse reported missing from a pasture on Union Hill Road in Loretto.
The horse was last seen around 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025. It was formerly a professionally trained Tennessee Walking Horse, valued at approximately $10,000 according to an appraisal by the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.
The missing animal is described as brown with a white stripe down its face and is known by the name “Bubba.” It did not have any visible tags or identifying markers at the time of the disappearance. A halter was found undone and lying in the pasture.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. The case remains under investigation.
