Arrest Made At Construction Site
An arrest was made late last week after two men reportedly became involved in an altercation at a construction site in the Loretto area.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that deputies were called to an area off of Beartown Road on Friday.
The complainant told deputies that while they were working on a new home, another man struck his hand with an iron bar and he told him that he wanted an apology. He said that this angered the man, who told him that he would not apologize. He said the man pulled out a knife at that point and threatened to kill him.
The victim told deputies that the man made one more threat, then held the knife to his own throat. He told deputies that he was able to talk the man into handing over the knife before any harm was done.
Deputies arrested Curtis John Luna, 29, on a charge of aggravated assault and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for booking. They report that he stated that he had had no intention of killing or harming himself, that he was “just mad at the time.”
