Pranksters Throw Flares In Yard
Law enforcement officials were summoned to initiate an investigation Wednesday evening when pranksters threw a flare into the yard of a Loretto resident.
The sixty-five-year-old victim told Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies that around 10:20 p.m., someone drove past her house, throwing what appeared to be a firework-type device into her yard.
Deputies looked around the yard and report finding a road flare lying in the grass. The flare, they report, had burned approximately 1/3 of the way down, burning an area of grass. Damages to the victim’s lawn were estimated to be $10.00.
