With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of K9 Pepper, who faithfully served the Maury County Sheriff's Office for 12 incredible years alongside her devoted handler, Sgt. Joey Parks.

K9 Pepper was a steadfast protector, a skilled partner, and a beloved member of our department. From narcotics detection to public outreach, she served with unwavering courage, fierce loyalty, and a heart full of purpose.

Her partnership with Sgt. Parks was built on trust, respect, and a deep, unspoken bond that only those who serve together in the field can truly understand. Through every shift, every call, and every challenge, Pepper stood by his side—always ready, always faithful.

Though her watch has ended, her legacy will live on in the lives she helped protect, the community she served, and the hearts of those who had the honor of working with her.
Rest easy, K9 Pepper. Your job is done. We’ll take it from here.
