Woman who went missing early Thursday morning in the same area of Nashville as Riley Strain was found alive.

The Metro Nashville Police Department was looking for 33-year-old Alexandria Chmiel, who was visiting from New Jersey with a friend when she went missing from Broadway around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning where it was reported around 3:42 a.m.

Chmiel was captured on several security cameras as she walked away from Broadway, with the last camera capturing her walking along 1st Avenue near the Woodland Street bridge which is the same area that 22-year-old Riley Strain was last seen by passersby.

Search and rescue crews were called to the river where thankfully around 9:00 a.m. she was located alive and evaluated by medical personnel.

The Davidson County Metro Council did pass a resolution on May 21 requesting the Metro Government create a comprehensive analysis of recommended changes to increase safety along the Cumberland River.
