$13,900 Worth of Equipment Stolen from Construction Site on Lovers Lane

Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred at a property on Lovers Lane, where nearly $14,000 worth of equipment and tools were reported stolen from a local construction site.

Deputies responded to the scene on July 18 after the property owner reported that an enclosed trailer had been stolen. The individual, who lives elsewhere in the county, is currently building a new home at the Lovers Lane location and operates an insulation business. They stated that the trailer had been parked behind a shop on the property the day before, but was missing when they returned.

The trailer is described as a 16-foot white enclosed trailer with three black wheels and one silver wheel, with no writing or logos. Inside were several valuable tools and materials, including a blowing machine, an 8000-watt generator, a 10-foot ladder, 200 feet of hose, and 30 bags of blown-in insulation. The total value, including the trailer, is estimated at $13,900.

The property owner reported that trail cameras had been installed along the driveway, but the SIM cards containing the footage were removed. This led them to believe the theft may have been committed by someone familiar with the property and its security setup.

Investigators are reviewing evidence, including images of the trailer, which have been digitally altered to include a logo for identification purposes.

The case remains under investigation.
