At approximately 12:36 PM today Lawrence County Fire Rescue units were notified by Lawrence County E-911 of a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the Gandy Fire District.

First arriving units found two occupants, and one pet trapped in a vehicle that had struck a tree. Personnel on the scene were able to extricate the occupants of the vehicle using hydraulic rescue tools while assisting Lawrence County EMS with patient care.

Two medical helicopters responded to the scene to transport patients to trauma centers.

At the time of the incident Lawrence County Fire Rescue Units were simultaneously responding to a side by side crash in an area with difficult terrain in the West Point Fire District, and a residential fire alarm activation in the Crossroads Fire District. Due to many of our resources being taxed at the time of the incident a mutual aid Truck Company from Lawrenceburg Fire responded to the scene to assist. We are thankful for strong working relationships with our neighboring agencies.

We would like to thank the team at Lawrence County 911 for the amazing job that they did managing several incidents, and multiple medical aircraft requests at the same time.
