Mailbox Vandals Cause Damages

   Vandals were at work overnight Saturday, causing damages to at least two mailboxes at homes in the Summertown area.

   Tammy Rena Martindale of 267 Davis Street, and Vestal Basil Wyrick of 274 Davis Street, each reported her mailbox had been damaged overnight. According to complaints it appeared someone had “hit the mailbox repeatedly,” possibly with a hammer.

   Damages were said to total $180.
