The Summertown High School band director, Jim Tucker, who was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl in his office at the school, has pleaded guilty in connection with the crime.
He had been charged with five counts of statutory rape by an authority figure. He pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated statutory rape and received two years for each count.
His trial had been set to begin July 20. Tucker was in his first year in the Lawrence County School System. He'd taught in Maury County for 22 years before that.
