Marijuana Plant Seized

   A marijuana plant growing healthily at the rear of a former Lawrenceburg business was seized and destroyed last week.

   Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department on Friday show that officers were summoned to the spot around 1:30 p.m. They report finding a single marijuana plant, approximately 48 inches tall, growing behind the old Inman’s Cleaners building at 711 Buffalo Road.

   Officers report that the plant appeared to have been recently transplanted, and was surrounded mostly by small trees and grass. It was located at the southwest corner of the building, near a large ditch. A wooden stake, officers report, had been tied to the plant to help support it’s weight.

   The plant was seized and properly destroyed.
