NICHOLAS HEATH GOBBLE CONVICTED OF ATTEMPTED SECOND DEGREE MURDER FOR BRUTALLY BEATING HIS MOTHER

Yesterday, a Lawrence County jury found Nicholas Gobble guilty of Second Degree Murder, after hearing proof of how he brutally beat his 64 year old mother. According to her, Nicholas flew into a rage and attacked when she mentioned that he needed to help pay for utilities. The assault resulted in 8 broken ribs, a brain bleed, and multiple cuts, lacerations, and bruises to the 64 year old.

Sergeant Josh Boliou, with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department investigated the case. Assistant District Attorneys Jessie Parrish and Brittany Langford presented the state's proof.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 19, before Circuit Judge Julie Heffington.
