Mother Assaulted By Son During Domestic Dispute
Law enforcement officers were summoned to a Summertown home during the weekend to intervene in a domestic assault incident involving a mother and son.
According to reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the Black Jack Court home around 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
The victim, age 69, and one witness reported that during an argument she had been attacked by her forty-five year old son. She told deputies that her son’s girlfriend had been able to successfully intervene.
As a result of deputies’ investigation Leo Travis King was arrested on charges of domestic assault. King was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
King was scheduled an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on August 6, 2013.
