Caretaker Discovers Burglary At Second Street Home
An individual tasked with caring for a Second Street home while the resident was away reported to authorities Sunday that the home had been burglarized.
Lawrenceburg Police Officers responded to the call at around 8:30 a.m. The caretaker reported that she had been feeding the resident's dogs while he was out of town.
When she arrived that morning, she said she found a door on the east side of the residence standing open. She told officers that it had definitely been locked the previous day.
Reports show that a window air conditioning unit had been pushed into the home on the west side of the structure. The caretaker spoke with the resident by telephone and determined that two Sony televisions were missing along with Xbox 360 and Wii gaming systems. The items had a combined value of approximately $850.
The resident reported that upon his return he would conduct a complete inventory to determine whether other property was missing.
