Victim Says He Was Attacked While Walking City Street
A Lawrenceburg man reported during the holiday weekend that he had been assaulted while walking along a city street.
The victim, age 39, reported to Lawrenceburg Police Officers that the assault occurred while he was walking along Smith Avenue in the early hours Saturday.
It was sometime between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m., the victim said, when he was “jumped” by two male subjects. The only identifying information the victim was able to provide was that one of his attackers was a white male. He told officers he was uncertain whether any weapons had been used.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Crockett Hospital for medical treatment.
Investigation into the matter is currently on-going.
