Hundreds Stolen From Wallet Left In Bathroom
A Cypress Inn resident found that several hundreds of dollars had been stolen from her wallet after she inadvertently left it inside a bathroom at a local market Tuesday.
The thirty-five year old victim requested that Lawrenceburg Police Officers be dispatched to Quik Mart #30 on North Locust Avenue at around 5:00 p.m. She reported that she had left her wallet inside the bathroom earlier in the day after stopping to purchase gasoline.
A market employee later found the wallet. She was able to find a phone number and contact the victim. When she returned, however, she said that a white envelope containing $667 was missing. She told officers that she had already reached Columbia by the time she received the call.
Officers requested that they be provided with security surveillance footage as soon as possible to determine whether the crime had been caught on video.
