A 4 year old boy tragically drowned in Hardin County on Saturday at a swimming hole.
Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander confirmed that on Saturday a 4-year-old boy drowned at a swimming hole on Indian Creek in Olive Hill near Low Water Bridge.
Hardin County Fire Department, first responders were dispatched to the scene around 5:40 p.m. where it was reported that a child who could not swim had not been seen in about 15 minutes, but he was not in the water at that time.
A Hardin County Fire Department diver found the boy in 6-8 feet of murky water, but it is believed he had been submerged for about an hour.
At this time no further information has been reported.
