The man wanted for the murder of a Tennesse man and stabbing the victims wife was shot by Texas authorities.
According to Metro Police Peter Bohning, 34, who was wanted for murdering Donald Zirkle and stabbing his wife Leigh Ann of West Nashville on Friday along Cherokee Road was shot and killed in an altercation with authorities in Texas.
On Monday morning a Gaines County, Texas deputy was responding to a suspicious vehicle call when he came across Bohning in the vehicle that was stolen from the west Nashville crime scene.
The deputy pulled Bohning over asking for his identification, and that's when the suspect stabbed the deputy.
The deputy trying to defended himself shot Bohning then the suspect was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Also the deputy who had non life threatening injuries from being stabbed by Bohning was taken to an El Paso hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
