Skeletal remains found in Lawrence County Alabama have been identified as man who has being missing since 2017.

On February 29th of this year a man who was looking to purchase land along Hwy. 101 discovered a skull on the property.

Following the discovery the remains were sent off to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for investigation and identification.

On Friday, Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood confirmed the remains belonged to Steven White who had been missing since October 27, 2017.

According to Norwood they were able to confirm that the remains were White’s by using DNA.

When the remains were found, Norwood said the remains were located 300 yards from White’s home.
