Tennessee fire department responded to a fatal head on collision involving an 18 wheeler and a car.

According to the Tennessee City Fire Department on Monday around 5:15 a.m. they provided aid to Bucksnort Fire Rescue on I 40 near mile marker 155 involving a 18 wheeler and a car head on collision.

The department stated units were on the scene with Quick Attack 527, Engine 525, Bucksnort Fire Rescue, Coble Fire Department, Hickman County EMS, THP, Centerville Fire Department, TDOT, S & S Towing, Fairview Towing and Recovery and Hickman County Sheriff's Office.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that at least 1 person was killed in the crash in Hickman County, and at the time of the wreck eastbound lanes were close till around 10:00 a.m. while crews safely cleared the roadway.

The THP are investigating the crash, and there are no further details available at this time.
