The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to two fatal crashes in Lawrence County over the weekend where one resulted in vehicular homicide charges.

 

On Saturday around 11:30 p.m. a traffic crash was reported after a motorcycle, and vehicle had collided in Lawrence County near the intersection of Ethridge Red Hill Road and Red Hill Center Road.

According to reports the driver of the motorcycle Cody Turner was seriously injured in the accident where he was lifeflighted to a Nashville Hospital, but tragically died due to his injuries.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol are investigating the crash, but at this time no citations or criminal charges have been issued.

The Following day early Sunday morning a single vehicle crash was reported where a Jeep had flipped at the intersection of Five Points, and Old Guthrie Road.

The driver of the vehicle Preston Berryhill, 21, was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide after 19 year old passenger Kristian Henkel died as a result of the accident.

Berryhill was transported to the Lawrence County Jail where at this time the wreck is still under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
