Local women shares her heartwarming experience with Lawrence County Fire and Rescue.

Leslie Bedford of Lawrenceburg shared the following message about her experience with fire department:
"I just want to take a minute to extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible teams at Lawrence County EMS and New Prospect Fire Department for the compassionate, professional, and rapid care they provided to my precious momma last night. We have had to call for their help two times in the past few weeks.
In one of the most frightening moments our family has faced, their skill, quick response, and kindness made all the difference. We are blessed to have such dedicated first responders serving our community and caring for our loved ones when they need it most.
Thank you for your service, your expertise, and the compassion you show every day. Lawrence County is truly fortunate to have you.
I haven’t publicly posted about the health issues momma is facing. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma earlier this year. Her treatment for the MM has taken a toll on her and it has been stopped. It landed her in the floor twice and the hospital with 4 transfusions.
She was also diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia and has been stable until last night. She suffered a stroke last night at the house. It has affected her frontal lobe and she is not able to verbalize much other than a few words. They are beginning to make more sense today and she can speak 3-4 words coherently and then she loses her ability to say what she is thinking.
She is frightened and frustrated but seems better today. We covet your prayers for her. God is in control and He is good all of the time.
❤️ Leslie & LeAnne"
God is good all the time.
Thank you Lawrence County Fire and Rescue for taking the time to exemplify what it means to truly serve your community.
