Vandalism
A resident of Chestnut Street, Iron City reported to deputies Sunday that her mailbox had been destroyed. She said that the mailbox was okay when she left around 8:00 a.m. The damage was discovered around 9:30 a.m. She said that gasoline was stolen from her neighbor’s house during the same time period. The mailbox was valued at $50.
Burglary
Deputies responded to a Jonestown Road in Summertown Sunday where a property owner reported that his metal building had been burglarized. He told deputies that he had left that morning around 10:30 a.m. and returned to find that the door of his outbuilding had been pried open. Missing were a chain hoist, Champion generator, Stihl weed eater and chainsaw, and several hand and power tools. Loss was estimated at $2,100.
