Another Counterfeit Bill Passed
Law enforcement officials have seized another counterfeit bill into evidence in a recent string of counterfeit money cases.
On Tuesday an employee of Community Bank of Lawrence County summoned Lawrenceburg Police officers to the business. She reported finding a counterfeit $20 bill in a deposit made by a local business owner.
The employee said that this is the second counterfeit bill passed at the market in the past two weeks. Counterfeit bills have been passed at other locations, as well.
Investigation into the fraud incidents is continuing at the present time. Anyone with information related to the investigation is encouraged to contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
