Animal Rescue

This morning Station #1 was notified, by Lawrenceburg Police Department, Tn, of a dog that was trapped underneath a residence.

Crews arrived to locate the dog at the bottom of a 12 foot well. The dog had been there for approximately two days and appeared to be uninjured.

Due to extremely limited access underneath the house, a hole had to be made in the floor to gain access for rescue.

A rope system was utilized to secure the dog and lift her from the well. She was successfully removed and appeared very thankful to her rescuers! The resident did not know who the dog belonged to so she was transported to The Doggie House Lawrenceburg Animal Sanctuary for evaluation.
