Sheriff's Department Focuses On School Shooting Preparedness
In an effort to be better prepared for a potential school shooting, Student Resource Officers of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department recently held Active Shooter training at Lawrence County High School.
Sheriff Jimmy Brown said school safety is a top priority of his and he is very happy that three additional SROs will be in county schools
when school starts in August.
Brown said he will continue to work with school and county officials to ensure all students have a safe environment when they go to school each day."
