Resident Says Roaming Dogs Are Killing Livestock
A resident of the Dukes Park Road area of Summertown filed a complaint with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday, indicating that dogs roaming about the neighborhood have been killing his livestock.
The resident indicated that a group of dogs had been roaming about the area, attacking various animals. To date, he said six of his goats and two chickens have been killed.
The reporting officer indicated he checked the area at the time the report was filed, but was unable to locate the animals. The victim is uncertain to whom the dogs belong.
