BARN FIRE

On Monday, June 2nd, units were alerted to a reported barn fire on Golf Club Rd on the south end of the county. Mount Pleasant FD Ladder 82 and Marshall 80 responded on automatic aid along with CFR Battalion 1 and Engine 4. MCFD units: Engines 21 and 32, Tankers 21, 23, and 32, OPS 20, Deputy 20.

Mount Pleasant FD arrived first to find a small outbuilding fully involved with a large barn and grain bins as exposures. Ladder 82 was able to keep the fire contained until additional units arrived on scene. Tanker 21 supplied Ladder 82 with water to fully suppress the fire.

We appreciate the prompt response of MPFD which undoubtedly kept this from being a much larger fire.
