Lawn Vandalized By Motorist
A Loretto resident reported to authorities Wednesday that a motorist had caused a substantial amount of damage to his lawn.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department show that the incident occurred 9:30 the previous evening at a home on Lexington Highway.
The seventy-three year old victim reported that he had been sitting inside his home when he heard noises outside. He told deputies that he looked out to find a driver was "doing doughnuts in his yard" in a red, late 90's model GMC truck.
The victim said that the driver quickly fled from the scene, squealing tires while entering the highway.
Damages to the lawn are estimated to total $500.
