One Dead As A Result Of Flooding
Officials with the sheriff’s department and other agencies reported Thursday morning that one person had died during heavy rains and flooding in Lawrence County.
Officials said that an as-yet unidentified man ran off the roadway into floodwaters around 9:00 a.m. near the Denson/Henryville Road intersection in the Summertown area.
Emergency teams, including the local Swift Water Rescue Team, were dispatched on the call.
