36 year old man was tragically killed in head on collision in Lawrence County

 

On Tuesday morning around 9:00 a.m. 36 year old, Stephen Rivers was killed in a head on collision involving a concrete truck on State Highway 241 in Lawrence County.

The crash occurred at the intersection of State Highway 241 and Red Hill Center Road where Rivers was attempting to pass two dump trucks when he collided head on with the concrete truck.

31 year old Jacob Chapman who was driving the concrete truck was not injured in the crash, but sadly Rivers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision, and no charges have been filed with the investigation that is still ongoing.
