Humphreys County Sheriff's Office released the following information and photos:

"This past week, May 22, 2024, our agency executed a narcotics search warrant that was a part of a combined operation between the Humphrey County Sheriffs’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Sheriff Chris Davis stated, “The investigation began approximately two months ago when Humphreys County Sheriff’s deputies began an investigation of methamphetamine ice being trafficked into the county. During the investigation deputies identified the source the drugs were coming from a convicted felon from Decatur County, Mark Monroe.”

After our agency partnered with TBI, it turned into a multi-county investigation. The investigation cumulated in a search warrant being served on Monroe’s residence in Parsons, Tennessee with the assistance of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office.

During the search, detectives seized over 2 pounds of methamphetamine ice and approximately a half a pound of high-grade marijuana in addition to almost $8,000 in cash and the suspects vehicle. Monroe was taken into custody and is currently being held on a $200,000 bond in the Decatur County Jail.

Sheriff Davis went on to state that he is very proud of our team and the opportunity of working with others agencies on the execution of this operation and a job well done."
