Possible Tornado Downs Trees and Destroys Out Buildings Near Ethridge
A possible tornado on Tuesday afternoon damaged numerous out buildings and downed trees along East Eden Road northeast of Ethridge.

The National Weather Service will send an assessment team to the area on Wednesday morning to determine if the damage was caused by a small tornado or straight line winds.

Units from Lawrence County Fire and Rescue assisted by personnel from EMA and other agencies responded to the incident which occurred shortly before 5:00 pm. At least one house had substantial roof damage and several out buildings were completely destroyed.

No injuries were reported.
