WORKING TOGETHER IN THE FACE OF TRAGEDY
On Sunday, multiple agencies responded to a tragic multi-patient incident, that consisted of several critical patients.
It was a challenging and emotional scene—but it showed what true teamwork looks like. Dispatchers, fire, EMS, law enforcement, EMA, bystanders—every responder on scene played a vital role. The coordination, communication, and compassion shown in such a difficult moment made a real difference in the care these patients received.
We’re incredibly proud of everyone who assisted for the care they provided, and we’re thankful for our off-duty team members who stepped up at a moment’s notice to staff additional units to help cover calls and ensure these patients got to the destination they needed.
We also want to extend our appreciation to Wayne County and Giles County EMS for sending units to assist with coverage,
Air Evac 110 for your assistance during transport, and LCFR Director 1 for helping get family safely to Nashville to be with our patients. Your help and support is greatly appreciated.
These calls are never easy, and they leave a lasting impact. For those who responded to the call, please take care of yourself and one another. Talk to someone if you need to. You’re not alone—we’re in this together. We are here for our community, our patients, and most definitely our fellow responders.
Please keep the families affected, and all of the first responders who answered the call, in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
