Coffman Takes First Place In Annual Knowledge Bowl Competition
Local students took part this week in the Lawrence County Board of Education’s annual Knowledge Bowl competition, and E.O. Coffman Middle school came out on top in both team and individual categories.
The top four teams were as follows: first place – Coffman, second place – Loretto Sacred Heart, third, Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart, and fourth place Ethridge Elementary.
The top ten individuals included: First – Coffman’s Trevor Shelton, second – Rhett Kennedy of Loretto Sacred Heart, third – A.J. Long of Ethridge Elementary, fourth – New Prospect’s Kinely Jones, fifth – Summertown’s Alison Helson, sixth – Summertown’s Emily Grimes, seventh – Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart’s Lucas Grinnell, eighth – Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart’s Zach Voss, and South Lawrence’s Jessica Vaughn and Leoma’s Luke Fleming tied for ninth and tenth places.
