City of Lawrenceburg Removes Gazebo on Public Square Due to Structural Condition

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — The City of Lawrenceburg completed the demolition of the gazebo located on the downtown public square today after determining the structure had fallen into significant disrepair and was no longer safe for continued use
.
The City’s Public Works Department moved quickly to address growing safety concerns surrounding the deteriorating condition of the structure, utilizing a last-minute opportunity for scheduling and coordination to complete the demolition.
Roads accessing the square remain open, but please use caution when driving around the square.
City officials appreciate the community’s understanding as efforts continue to maintain a safe and welcoming downtown environment.
Future plans and what will replace the gazebo will be decided at a later date.
