Canned Goods Intended For Food Drive Are Stolen
A Lawrenceburg woman reported to police officers Tuesday that some canned goods she had had intended to donate to a food drive had been stolen.
The victim, age 41, told Lawrenceburg Police officers that when she came home at around 10:30 Tuesday morning and a neighbor informed her of the theft. She said that a woman had walked past her residence at 10:30 the previous night, looked inside her mailbox, then took the bag of canned goods she had left on her mailbox and walked away.
Officers report that they questioned a neighbor about the theft. She told them she had no recollection of looking in the mailbox or taking the bag. She said that she has a head injury, “And does not remember a lot of what she does.”
