Severe weather on Thursday evening caused damage throughout Lawrence County.

Lawrenceburg Lawrence County Emergency Management shared the following photos and statement on Thursday:

"Straight Line Winds Down Trees And Power Lines Across Lawrence County

Lawrenceburg, TN: A line of severe thunderstorms packing high winds and heavy rain downed numerous trees and powerlines on Thursday afternoon.

The line entered Lawrence County shortly after 5:00 PM and rapidly crossed the county. At least three mobile homes were damaged by falling trees and power was out at many locations across the county.

US-43 at Edan Road near Ethridge was completely blocked by power lines for over an hour. Numerous secondary roads were also blocked by trees and downed lines. No injuries were reported.

Crews from the Lawrenceburg Utility System, Lawrence County Fire and Rescue, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management and all city Law Enforcement and Fire Protection Agencies spent much of Thursday evening performing clean up operations. Spotters from the Lawrence County Skywarn group assisted with damage assessment.
