Lawrence County EMS issue release regarding ambulance wreck that occurred Saturday morning.

Subject: EMS Unit Collision

On Saturday, April 29, 2023 shortly after 8:30am, Lawrence County EMS Unit 203 was traveling down Buffalo Road in Lawrenceburg, while responding emergency traffic to a 911 call. During their response, Unit 203 was involved in a motor vehicle collision involving another vehicle. As a result of the collision, the EMS unit struck a guard rail and came to rest in the ditch. EMS responders notified dispatch of the collision, exited the vehicle, and proceeded to check on the second vehicle's occupant. Another EMS unit was dispatched to the initial 911 call. All parties involved were transported to STRHS-Lawrenceburg emergency department for medical evaluation. Lawrence County EMS responders have been evaluated, treated for minor injuries, and released.

As always, LCEMS will continue to provide state of the art EMS care to our community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. LCEMS keeps reserve ambulances on hand to ensure we have units available for situations such as this, so we may continue providing our normal daily operations.

Lawrence County EMS wants to take this opportunity to thank our community, fellow first responder agencies, and other organizations for their assistance today. Within minutes, other first responder agencies were on scene assisting with the incident. We have had countless individuals, organizations, and other first responder services reach out to check on our EMS responders involved this morning.
