Good Friday Closings Announced
Friday garbage pickup will be Thursday
As we enter into the Easter holiday period, a number of governmental offices have announced they will be closed in observance of Good Friday, April 22, 2011.
There will be no postal service on Friday. Lawrence County Archives will be closed along with all federal and state business offices. Offices of Lawrence County Government will be closed on Friday along with offices of the City of Lawrenceburg and other local city governments.
Note: City of Lawrenceburg officials point out that there will be no residential garbage pickup on Good Friday. Residents are instead asked to place their garbage carts at the curb for pickup on Thursday, April 21. They request that carts be placed at the curb early, as this will be a double route day.
