Subject: Motor Vehicle Accidents with Serious Injuries.

On April 14,2026 Lawrence County Fire Rescue units responded to two separate motor vehicle crashes with serious injuries in less than 12 hours.

At approximately 9:55 AM Lawrence County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash with serious injuries and entrapment on Weakley Creek Road in the New Prospect Fire District.

Our first unit arrived on scene within 6 minutes of being dispatched. Our personnel assisted EMS in accessing the critically injured patient and establishing an on scene landing zone for Air Evac. Unfortunately the crash did result in one fatality.

At approximately 7:52 PM Lawrence County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a second motor vehicle crash. This crash was on Buffalo Road in the Ethridge Fire District. Units from the Ethridge Fire Station arrived on scene in under 3 minutes to find a motor vehicle crash involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle with one patient critically injured. Our personnel assisted with patient care and the establishment of an on scene landing zone for Air Evac.
