Lawrenceburg Police Officers were dispatched to local pawn shop by a TBI Agent regarding a stolen gun.
Lawrenceburg Police Officers were dispatched to Joe Bob's Pawn Shop on North Military Avenue in reference to a stolen gun where the complainant was a TBI Agent.
Upon arrival officers spoke with the gun buyer, and a pawn shop employee where they discovered that the firearm was purchased through gunbroker.com from a seller in Colorado then shipped to the pawn shop.
Once the gun arrived the buyer was to complete their TBI check their at the pawn shop, and during the process it was discovered that the gun was stolen out of Henry County, Georgia.
Officers had dispatch run the gun through NCIC where it was confirmed that the gun was in fact stolen, and a receipt was issued for the pawn shop where police then seized the firearm.
The pawn shop was not out any money in this incident, and the gun buyer was going to try to recover their total amount loss through the website in which they purchased the gun.
