LAWRENCE COUNTY EMERGENCY AGENCIES PARTICIPATE IN MOCK CRASH EVENT AT LORETTO HIGH SCHOOL
Loretto, TN – Multiple Lawrence County Emergency Agencies were honored to participate in a powerful mock crash event at Loretto High School on Wednesday, aimed at educating students about the life-altering consequences of distracted driving, impaired driving, and unsafe driving habits.
This impactful simulation portrayed a real-life scenario in which students were seriously injured, killed, or arrested as a result of dangerous driving behaviors. The event was designed to give students a realistic and sobering look at how poor decisions behind the wheel can have devastating outcomes—for themselves, their friends, their families, and their communities.
The mock crash is part of an effort to reduce traffic fatalities, especially among young drivers, and to reinforce the importance of making safe, responsible choices on the road.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Loretto High School, Principal Dr. Jennifer Littleton, and all faculty and staff for allowing this event to take place on campus. We also thank our student and faculty volunteers who acted in the simulation, as well as the LHS Cosmetology Class for their assistance with special effects makeup.
This event would not have been possible without the collaboration of multiple dedicated agencies. We are grateful for the participation and support of:
Tennessee Highway Patrol
Loretto Police Department
Loretto Fire Department
St. Joseph Police Department
St. Joseph Fire Department
Lawrence County Sheriff's Department
