A statement from the Giles County Sheriff's Office

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office is deeply committed to protecting our community and the people who call it home and we remain determined to deliver justice regardless of how long it takes. As the five-year anniversary of the murder of Jim Grimes approaches, the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Today, investigators with the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the District Attorney’s Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security, executed a search warrant at a location on Buford Station Road as part of continued efforts in this case.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, specific details are limited at this time.
