Lawrenceburg Police Officers were dispatched to local Dollar General in reference to counterfeit Fraud.

 

The Lawrenceburg Police Department was dispatched on Saturday to the Dollar General on North Military Avenue with reports of Fraud.

Upon arrival officers spoke with an employee who stated that a male subject tried to pay for his items with a counterfeit $20, and once the employee confronted the man about the fake $20 he proceeded to pay with a real twenty dollar bill.

The employee kept the counterfeit $20, and called police where the male subject left before officers arrived.

Officers seized the counterfeit money along with identifying the male subject, but at the time of the report there were no further details available or charges filed.
