Free Smoke Detectors Available for St. Joseph Residents

The City of St. Joseph is proud to offer free smoke detectors to residents of the city. If you need a smoke detector, please call City Hall or stop by Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Detectors will be available for pickup beginning Wednesday, April 8.

Residents who need assistance with installation may leave their name, address, and phone number, and the St. Joseph Fire Department will follow up to schedule a time to install the detector.

Smoke detectors save lives, and this is one more way we are working to help keep St. Joseph families safe.

Please note: These smoke detectors are available only to residents of the City of St. Joseph.
