Saint Joseph Police Department Responds to Citizen Complaints; Arrest Made in Harrison Street Area


Saint Joseph, TN — The Saint Joseph Police Department has recently received multiple complaints from citizens regarding individuals loitering and suspicious activity during late-night hours in the area of Harrison Street and Kennedy Drive.


On April 1, 2026, officers with the Saint Joseph PD responded to a call for service in that area concerning a motorized bicycle reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon arrival, officers made contact with an individual operating a motorized bicycle at a residence on Harrison Street.

 


While on scene, additional information was developed regarding another individual believed to be in the area who had an outstanding warrant. During a subsequent encounter, that individual was located and found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. The subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
Although the arrest involved a user amount of illegal narcotics, this enforcement action is part of the department’s ongoing effort to address community concerns and maintain safety in neighborhoods experiencing increased complaints.
The Saint Joseph Police Department will continue to monitor the Harrison Street and Kennedy Drive area and encourages residents to report suspicious activity.
